We are pleased to announce that Anglicon, Seattle’s premier Doctor Who and British media convention, will be hosting its first Art Show! 

In addition to the fantastic list of events planned, this year we have some amazing special guests attending the convention, including Doctor Who’s very own Peter Davison (The 5th Doctor) and Sylvester McCoy (The 7th Doctor). In addition to a People’s Choice ribbon, participating artists will have a chance to be awarded a ribbon by the special guests for their favorite piece in the show!

For art display we will have 4x4’ pegboard panels available, 3x2.5’ tables (half of a six foot folding table), as well as a Print Shop.

As this family-friendly convention is focused on Doctor Who content and British media, we ask that a minimum of two of your entered pieces be directly related to these areas, based upon inspired subject matter or author/creator. For some helpful examples of what might fall into this category: Doctor Who fan art, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Shakespeare, King Arthur, Frankenstein, Alice in Wonderland, and Sherlock, etc.

Prices for displaying art

4x4 Panels $10 each
3x2.5 Tables $10 each
Print Shop No cost for Print Shop, limit 50 items

 

 

 

The Anglicon Art Show will not take a show commision from displayed art sales, but will take a 10% commission from any Print Shop sales.

Registration and payment

Payments for reserving art space can be made by check. You will receive a confirmation email once your payment has been received. Your payment ensures your space you are requesting. Please send in your registration and signed artist agreement in with your check to reserve your space in the show.

Please download and complete our registration form and release form and waiver to mail in or artshow [at] anglicon.org (subject: Anglicon%20Art%20Show) (email) to us with your submission.

Mail-in

If you are sending in your art via UPS or Fed Ex, the mailing address for all pieces to be entered in the art show if an artist is not able to attend the convention is:

Please be sure to have a tracking number and your package insured. Once you have obtained a tracking number please send it to our email so we can make sure your art arrives on time for the Con and pick up upon delivery.For shipping back your unsold art, please include a prepaid return slip, check or instructions with your art.

This year we are requesting any mail-in art to arrive in Washington NO LATER than December 2nd, as well as a $15 mail-in fee.
