Patricia Quinn as Magenta in The Rocky Horror Picture Show

 

 

Belfast born Patricia Quinn was already a well known name on television and in theatre when writer Richard O’Brien asked her to appear on stage as Magenta the Usherette in his new stage musical, The Rocky Horror Show. When the production became a cult favorite, it was turned into a movie – The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Patricia, appearing again as Magenta, became a world wide cult hero! In 1981, O’Brien penned the “sequel” to Rocky Horror, Shock Treatment, and Patricia appeared as Dr Nation McKiney in the production. She has also appeared in other productions including Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, I Claudius, Up The Chastity Belt, Shoulder to Shoulder, Sebastiane, Tales of the Unexpected, Box of Delights, and many others.
