Peter Davison

Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor

Peter Davison is well-known to Doctor Who fans as the Fifth Doctor. Taking over from Tom Baker in 1981, he played the role until 1984. At age 29, he was the youngest actor to have played the Doctor until Matt Smith took over the role decades later.

Peter was already a familiar face on British television, having starred in the popular series All Creatures Great and Small, as well as prior roles in Warship, The Tomorrow People, and Love for Lydia.  He even appeared (in heavy prosthetics), in the 1981 TV version of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Since leaving Doctor Who, Peter has continued to work regularly on stage, screen, and radio.

Peter published an autobiography, Is There Life Outside the Box?: An Actor Despairs, in October 2016.

Peter Davison's appearance at Anglicon 2017 was obtained with the help of Mark Dando, Events Producer of the UK events agency Basestar Limited (@Basestar_Events).
